Withered Wyvern is seeking short fiction and poetry that explores the many possibilities of fantasy. Fantasy does not have to adhere to a single set of rules, and we are drawn to works that take a variety of perspectives, styles, and traditions. We are interested in fantasy in all of its forms, including mythology, folklore, fairytales, supernatural fiction, magical realism, and experimental interpretations of the fantastic, in addition to traditional magical worlds. We want to discover what fantasy means to you, whether it takes the form of magic, imagined realms, mythical animals, or a more tamed vision of the fantastic.

We seek submissions from authors with a variety of experiences and perspectives, and we particularly welcome the work of up-and-coming authors. Our intention is to produce a varied collection that illustrates the various ways in which fantasy may be written and imagined.
